Hosts England amassed 386-6 in Cardiff, with Jason Roy the star of the show.
His 153 was the second-best score by an England batsman in the World Cup.
He opened with Jonny Bairstow who fell for 51, and Jos Buttler was moved up the order when the innings neared it's climax.
Having been neutralised against South Africa and Pakistan, it was crucial that the opening partnership of Roy and Bairstow didn't fall early.
Like in the previous two matches, the opponents opened with spin - restricting England to 15 from the first five overs, but they couldn't find a breakthrough.
The opening stand ended at 128, when Bairstow was dismissed after hitting his half-century.
But the Surrey right-hander didn't stop there, accumulating 14 fours and five sixes in all.
His century was brought about by a mis-field that went for four, while Roy and umpire Joel Wilson were watching the ball they collided as Roy was running between wickets.
It was his ninth one-day international hundred, and with the way he carried, he looked likely to become the first England batsman to make an ODI 200.
After three consecutive sixes, he fell in the fourth ball of the over, so Buttler was left to carry on the attack.
In an entertaining 64, the Lancashire keeper twice cleared the stadium into the River Taff, one of which gave him a hip-injury, meaning Bairstow took the gloves for the second innings.
Woakes and Liam Plunkett added late cameos, by which time England had already become the first team in ODI history to pass 300 in seven consecutive innings.
In a strong response to the Pakistan loss, Buttler's injury is a concern, while Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid's bowling was below their best.
Leg-spinner Rashid was the leading ODI wicket-taker since the last World Cup, but has averaged 71 taking his two wickets in the tournament this year.
Shakib Al Hasan became the tournament's leading run scorer with a 121, but the required run rate climbed while Bangladesh were at the crease.
Apart from him, it was a disappointing performance from a side who have beaten England in their last two World Cup meetings.
Too many mistakes in the field allowed England to steadily increase their total, exploiting the unusual dimensions of the boundary.
They were eventually bowled out for 280, with Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes each taking three wickets.
Archer removed opener Soumya Sarkar in a spell touching 95 miles per hour, neutralising the run chase before it had begun.
It was a bizarre wicket to remove Sarkar, the ball clipped off stump and continued over the boundary without bouncing, clear over the head of stand-in keeper Bairstow.
It seemed that the West Indies born England new-boy would make short work of Bangladesh's batting line-up.
The Tigers were 63-2 after Tamim Iqbal miscued from Mark Wood, before a 106 partnership between Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahim gave their fans something to cheer.
