Cricket World Cup: England vs Australia, Lord's - Australia qualify for Semi-Final with win over England

England suffered a second consecutive defeat in the World Cup, as Australia confirmed their place in the last four with a win that sent them top of the table.

England - 221 / 285-7 - Australia
England's hope of winning their first World Cup hang in the balance after the 64-run defeat at Lord's.
They need to win their last two games against India and New Zealand, both of whom are so far unbeaten.
Eoin Morgan's side may also be leapfrogged by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the race for semi-final qualification.
Having begun the tournament as favourites, hosts England now have little margin for error after their three defeats in seven matches.

Morgan said before the game that he would not discourage the crowd from booing Steve Smith and David Warner in the wake of the ball-tampering scandal, and the Lord's crowd duly made their feelings known at every opportunity.
It didn't seem to affect Australia's top order though, after an opening wicket stand of 123, captain Aaron Finch's century lifted them to 173-1.
His 100-and-out puts him on 496 runs for the tournament, four runs behind his opening partner, as Warner became the first man to make 500.
The target of 286 was always going to be tough, in conditions suited to pace-bowling of which Mitchell Starc is one of the world's best.
The top order fell in a matter of overs, with the chase looking dead and buried at 53-4.
Much like he did against Sri Lanka, Ben Stokes provided some much needed stability as all those around him were dismissed.

He made 89 before a near-perfect yorker by Starc, and soon after that England were 221 all out.
Cricket's oldest rivalry at the ceremonial home of the sport made for a brilliant atmosphere in the capital.
For some, this was the day the World Cup began, but for England it may already be over.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and England may be left regretting the decision to let Australia bat first - especially after both of their previous defeats were inflicted when batting second.
Jofra Archer and Mark Wood played their part in dismantling Australia in the end, but Chris Woakes had no luck with the new ball.
He had Finch edge over second slip, and escape lbw on review, while Vince did well to get fingertips to the Aussie skipper at point off Archer.
The frustration was visible, leading to sloppy fielding such as Jos Buttler missing the opportunity to stump Usman Khawaja off Adil Rashid.
They gradually got it together, and as a team the wickets fell at regular intervals.

A good start with the bat was still needed, made more difficult by James Vince playing all around a Jason Behrendorff inswinger to the second ball of the innnings.
Starc trapped Joe Root before Morgan and Jonny Bairstow were both caught on the pull.
Stokes and Buttler added 71 to calm the English nerves, before Khawaja made a great catch running round the boundary to dismiss the latter.
Stokes appeared to sustain an injury while out at the crease, regularly feeling and stretching his hamstring.
He made a stand of 53 with Woakes, including two sixes off the same Glenn Maxwell over, before Starc's near unplayable delivery made Stokes kick his bat in frustration.
His 4-43 took him back to the top of the tree for wicket-taking in this tournament, but the inclusion of Behrendorff was the real masterstroke, he took 5-44 - all of which was backed up by superb field management from the captain, particularly with Maxwell offloading to Finch to dismiss Woakes at cow corner.
You could have been forgiven for thinking England's one-day dominance in the past four years was imagined, as Australia continued their brilliant run against England in World Cups, having not lost since 1992.
