Champions League Final - Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Liverpool - Liverpool claim sixth European Cup

Liverpool repaired the damage done in last year's final, and won their sixth European Cup in Madrid.

The narrative was written that Mohamed Salah would be heavily involved, after his injury that curtailed his appearance in the final against Real Madrid in Kiev a year ago.
He converted a penalty after two minutes when Moussa Sissoko was controversially punished for a handball.
Liverpool keeper Alisson performed well - though it must be said, it was a low quality affair - saving shots from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen.
Between last year's final and now was the acquisition of the £67 million Brazilian from Roma for Liverpool, who was one of the star performers against Tottenham.
Last year the man between the sticks for the Reds was Loris Karius, who had a match to forget after gifting goals to Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
Alisson and Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk has boosted Liverpool to challenging for the League, as well as their first Champions League win since 2005.
Tottenham were punished for their wasteful finishing when - much like in the semi-final - Divock Origi scored from a corner, this time it was low past Hugo Lloris after Spurs had failed to clear their lines.

The showpiece win means Jurgen Klopp wins his first trophy as Liverpool boss - and his first since winning the double with Borussia Dortmund in 2012.
There is doubt over the future of Spurs counterpart Mauricio Pochettino though, whose gamble in selecting England captain Harry Kane to start did not pay off - he lacked sharpness and look very out of his depth on the big occasion having been out through injury since the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City in April.
He was later replaced by semi-final hat-trick hero Lucas Moura, but he too failed to impact the match.
Spurs will have felt on the night that it was a missed opportunity, given Liverpool's sub-par showing, but looking back they should be proud of making it this far, and for that, Pochettino deserves lots of credit.
Klopp's run of six successive losses in finals came to an end, restoring Liverpool to the heights of Europe's elite in the process.
After a league season of just one loss but some how losing out to Manchester City on the final day, Liverpool won this final with one of their worst performances in the campaign.
You could tell that it was at the end of the season for both sides, and it could be argued that both clubs had shown their best on their way to the final, in the sensational semi-finals in particular.
