Unibet Premier League Darts - Night 10, Belfast - Van Gerwen rescues a draw but Cross tops table

Daryl Gurney was denied a fairytale victory in front of his home crowd as Rob Cross won to go top of the table, while Michael van Gerwen came from 5-1 down and survived two match darts to draw against Gerwyn Price.

Mensur Suljovic made it three wins in a row against James Wade with a hard fought 8-6 victory.
There was a slow start to the opening match of the night, with the Austrian becoming increasingly slow in an attempt to put the Machine off.
Wade took a 2-0 lead before the Gentle levelled, it was all with throw until leg ten, when Suljovic broke and held his throw in the next to lead 7-4.
Wade broke with a 137 checkout, and was then throwing for a draw, but Suljovic then threw seven perfect darts and wired the treble with the eighth, before cleaning up soon after with Wade still well behind.
The win moved Suljovic above Wade to third place, the Englishman averaged just 85 while the former Champions League winner hit five 180s to continue his winning streak against the European and World Series champion.

Peter Wright drew his fifth match in this year's Premier League, holding his nerve against Michael Smith to earn a point.
The Bully Boy's average was 10 superior to Snakebite's, but had to settle for a draw as they did earlier in the season.
With both players down at the bottom of the table, a point doesn't help either.
Wins are vital for both to stand a chance of making the play-offs.

Rob Cross once again demolished the home favourite, after beating Jeffrey de Zwaan in Rotterdam, the former world champion set about spoiling the party for Daryl Gurney in Belfast.
Both started well, but the Players' Championship champion could not keep with Voltage, the latter averaging 105 and making it look easy at times.
The Englishman took out 117,100 and a 124 on the bull in the final leg to seal an 8-4 victory.

Gerwyn Price's wait for a win over Michael van Gerwen continues as the Welshman let a 5-1 lead slip to draw 7-7 with the current world champion.
Even after the comeback, the Grand Slam champion led 7-5 but missed two darts at tops in the final leg for the win, allowing the Dutchman to take out 82 for a draw.
Van Gerwen threw some bizarre set up shots, not applying any pressure on the Iceman and allowing him to take the lead.
Such shots include a last dart treble 20 from 64 to leave double two, and two bullseyes from 202.
Maybe the record of 15 matches without a win was playing on Price's mind towards the end, and he will be frustrated with just a single point.
