Unibet Premier League Darts - Night Seven, Berlin - Cross goes clear at top of table

Former world champion Rob Cross went two points clear of Michael van Gerwen in the Premier League, while Raymond van Barneveld got a much needed first win of the campaign in the German capital.

A 7-4 win over Gerwyn Price in the opening match of the night put Rob Cross ahead, Voltage winning his fourth Premier League match in a row.
Knowing he needed to win to go back level with Cross, world number one Michael van Gerwen played a tense match against SuperChin Daryl Gurney.
Gurney's record against the world champion is not brilliant, but similar to the Players' Championship Finals at the end of last year, van Gerwen was slightly off his game and Gurney pounced all over it, edging to a 7-5 win.

Bringing up the rear of the table, Raymond van Barneveld's situation was not helped by Gurney's victory, but came out fighting in the last match of night.
He was against Contender Max Hopp in front of a 12,000 strong home crowd, but the Dutchman hit the first 170 checkout of this Premier League season on the way to a vital 7-3 win.
Barney is playing in his final Premier League campaign and will hope that the fixtures in Rotterdam will not be his farewell to the competition.
The five-time world champion goes into next week's double header in Rotterdam just one point adrift of of Michael Smith, with the Bully Boy losing 7-2 to Mensur Suljovic.
The Austrian moved into the top four, while Peter Wright drew 6-6 with James Wade in the other match of the evening.

Points won by the Contenders will not count towards the league table, but their opponents will retain theirs if they earn any from the match.
The player who finishes ninth in the table after Judgement Night in Rotterdam on 28 March will be eliminated.
The remaining eight throwers will then battle it out for a place in the top four to make it to the play-offs at The O2 Arena, London on 23 May.
