After his 7-1 loss to Rob Cross last week, SuperChin Daryl Gurney went one better - or should that be worse - this week losing 7-0 to the seemingly unstoppable James Wade.
Gerwyn Price maintained the only remaining unbeaten record in the league, beating Mensur Suljovic 7-3.
The Welshman was winless in his debut season in the league last year, but now finds himself level on points with Wade at the top of the table, with many saying he's playing the best darts of his career. Welshman Price maintained the only remaining unbeaten record by beating Mensur Suljovic 7-3.
Cross was also a 7-3 winner over Michael Smith, Voltage and Mighty Mike also join Wade and Price on 7 points.
Peter Wright overcame Raymond van Barneveld by the same score in the other match to be played on Thursday.
In the UK Open at the weekend, Barney dropped out of the world's top 32, and this performance does nothing to suggest that he can climb back up the rankings.
The newly crowned UK Open champion Nathan Aspinall will take to the stage in Nottingham next week, bidding to become the first of Gary Anderson's replacements to win in the tournament.
After his sensational run at the world champonships, I thought it odd that certain bookmakers weren't giving odds on him to be playing in the Premier League outright.
My friends who are darts fans thought I was being ridiculous, suggesting that one run to a world championship semi-final would be enough to warrant Premier League selection.
But here we are, less than two months later, he's a major winner, in the top 16 in the world and about to play in the Premier League for the first time.
Points won by the Contenders will not count towards the league table, but their opponents will retain theirs if they earn any from the match.
The player who finishes ninth in the table after Judgement Night in Rotterdam on 28 March will be eliminated.
The remaining eight throwers will then battle it out for a place in the top four to make it to the play-offs at The O2 Arena, London on 23 May.
