World number one Michael van Gerwen continued his impressive winning run over Gerwyn Price, after Rob Cross had beaten another Dutchman in Raymond van Barneveld.
Mighty Mike and Voltage are level on nine points and have equal leg difference after six matches.
James Wade fell from first to third with his loss to Mensur Suljovic, while Peter Wright drew with Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith opened the night by beating UK Open champion and this week's Contender Nathan Aspinall.
Van Gerwen averaged 96, but the 29-year-old made it 14 wins from 14 meetings with Price, while Cross is now on a three match winning streak.
The Dutchman, who plans to retire after the 2020 PDC World Championship, is bottom of the table and winless in his six matches.
The player at the foot of the league after the ninth match in Rotterdam at the end of this month will be eliminated.

Points won by the Contenders will not count towards the league table, but their opponents will retain theirs if they earn any from the match.
The player who finishes ninth in the table after Judgement Night in Rotterdam on 28 March will be eliminated.
The remaining eight throwers will then battle it out for a place in the top four to make it to the play-offs at The O2 Arena, London on 23 May.
