Michael van Gerwen continued his perfect start to his Premier League defence by beating Mensur Suljovic 7-3.
He is the only player with two victories out of two, so sits atop the table alone.
Peter Wright and Michael Smith drew, as did Raymond van Barneveld and Gerwyn Price.
Glen Durrant was the second of nine Contenders in for the injured Gary Anderson.
The 48-year-old, who won a third British Darts Organisation (BDO) world title in January, earned a Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tour card through Qualifying School.
Against Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney, Durrant missed four darts at double in the first two legs, allowing Gurney into a 4-0 lead, before losing 7-3.

Welshman Price wasted several match darts, missing three at 6-3 and then failing to hit double 12 for a 144 checkout in the final leg.
It was a similar story for the Bully Boy Michael Smith, who led Peter Snakebite Wright 5-2 before holding his throw in the final leg to secure the draw.
Points won by the Contenders will not count towards the league table, but their opponents will retain theirs if they earn any from the match.
The player who finishes ninth in the table after Judgement Night in Rotterdam on 28 March will be eliminated.
The remaining eight throwers will then battle it out for a place in the top four to make it to the play-offs at The O2 Arena, London on 23 May.
