Cristiano Ronaldo's hattrick in Turin overturned the 2-0 deficit from the first leg to advance to the last eight of the Champions League.
Included in his eighth hat-trick in the competition was his 124th Champions League goal.
He scored two textbook headers to make it all square on aggregate, before scoring from the spot late-on.
Federico Bernardeschi was fouled in the area with four minutes left, and the Portuguese forward smashed home from twelve yards.
On full time the home fans erupted and the Juventus players surrounded Ronaldo.
Atletico Madrid may have thought that Ronaldo's summer move to Italy would have ended his curse of dumping them out of the Champions League, but continuing the trend this year means they miss the chance of playing in a Champions League final at their home stadium on 1st June.

Manchester City eased into the last eight with a thrashing over Schalke.
Sergio Aguero scored from the spot and quickly doubled the lead from close range after Raheem Sterling's backheel assist.
Leroy Sane once again scored against his old club to make it three, then turned provider in the second half with a hat-trick of assists.
The German winger set-up Sterling with a wonderful curling cross that the England forward smashed into the top corner.
Bernardo Silva pounced on Sane's cut-back to make it five before substitute Phil Foden rounded the goalkeeper after he was played in by Sane.
Jesus completed the rout with a late curling strike.

It was the Lionel Messi show at the Camp Nou as two goals and two assists from the Argentine helped Barcelona to their 12th consecutive Champions League quarter-final.
The Spanish giants are chasing a treble this season, and they led when Messi chipped home a penalty.
Philippe Coutinho tapped into an empty net from Luis Suarez's unselfish pass for 2-0.
Lucas Tousart's volley gave Lyon hope, but Messi killed the game with a run and finish before assisting for Gerard Pique and Ousmane Dembele late on.

Sadio Mane's brace helped Liverpool to their second successive Champions League quarter-final on a wet night at the Allianz Arena.
On a night of few chances and sloppy possession for both sides, the Reds took the lead in the tie in the 26th minute when Mane brought down Virgil van Dijk's pass before firing into an empty net with Manuel Neuer rushing from his goal.
Bayern briefly seemed to have luck on their side, with Joel Matip turning the ball into his own net from close range, the hosts only required one more goal.
The Germans couldn't kick on from the unlikely equaliser, with van Dijk powering home James Milner's corner to all but ensure the victory.
Mane made sure of that with a header, six minutes from time, for his 10th goal in his last 10 games.
Andrew Robertson will miss the first leg of the quarter-final, after a stoppage time yellow card to mar a great Liverpool result.
