England get their much-needed win in the last game of the Ashes series, ending winners Australia's hopes of ending the series unbeaten.
England - 139-5 / 122-8 - Australia
England won by 17 runs in Bristol to ends Australia's hopes of an unbeaten Ashes series in the final T20.
Sophie Ecclestone took 3-22, Katherine Brunt 3-21 and debutant Mady Villiers 2-20 as England restricted the tourists to 122-8.
Ellyse Parry made an unbeaten 60 in their chase of 140, but it was to no avail as England won their first match in the multi-format series.
Brunt and Lauren Winfield had earlier combined to make 43 off the last four overs to post 139-5.
With nothing left to play for, England gave Essex all-rounder Villiers her debut - and the 20-year-old did not disappoint.
Though not required to bat, she was dynamite in the field using her strong arm to stop boundaries and save runs.
Alyssa Healy offered her a return catch from her off-spin from her second ball when she was brought in in the eighth over, but should couldn't hols on.
In her next over, Healy was caught as long-off from a full toss for her maiden international wicket, before Ash Gardner was stumped for a golden duck.
Her first three overs went for only seven runs with no boundaries - but a six off Perry and a four off Jess Jonassen in the final over somewhat dented her bowling figures.
Ecclestone, at the same age as Villiers, is already three year into her international career, and quickly becoming one of England's best bowlers, removing captain Meg Lanning for a wicket maiden in th powerplay, before two more lbws at the death.
Brunt was named player of the match for her batting and bowling, with the 34-year-old conceding that her body may not last for another Ashes series in a few years' time.
She came in at 84-5, and along with Winfield she helped England to a competitive target, as well as pitching in with wickets at both ends of the innings.
Australia's dominance in the women's game is proven by the disappointment at not completing the series unbeaten, against the number two side in the world, as England rarely got near Australia.
Perry finished with 378 runs from eight innings - a record in the multi-format system since its induction in 2013 - breaking her own record of 351 set down under two years ago.
Averaging 94.50 for the series, her batting form would allow her to walk into any side in the world, but adding in her bowling - taking 7-22 in third ODI - and athletic fielding, it's difficult to argue against the fact that the 28-year-old isn't the best all-rounder in the world.
She lacked support in the batting line-up in the series finale, with Healy's 28 the only other score in double figures.

The fielding remained strong, with Lanning able to call upon seven genuine bowling options from the raw pace of Tayla Vlaeminck, experienced bowler Megan Schutt, the medium-paced seam of Delissa Kimmince, and three spinners in Gardner, Jonassen and Georgia Wareham.
